30 seconds or less

Aziz Ansari's summer movie debut is finally upon us. He will be starring in the comedy with Jesse Eisenberg, 30 seconds or less. The plot involves two fledgling criminals who kidnap a delivery guy, strap a bomb to him and force him to rob a bank. Reviews so far have been mixed. I'm hoping Ansari's sarcastic tone and random facial expression were a good fit for this movie. However, I've heard the opposite. One review went as far as saying that it looked like he read off of cue cards. I truly hope this isn't the case. Negativity in Hollywood is like the plague.

Mallika Sherawat Crashes the Inglorious Bastards Premiere

Anyone see Inglorious Bastards? It’s the film where Brad Pitt kills Nazis. It looks pretty good. Anyways, Mallika Sherawat showed up at the premiere, in perhaps one of the skimpiest outfits I’ve ever seen an Indian girl wear, not that I have a problem with that. I mean yeah she normally dresses like a slut and has a reputation for it. But in my mind, she is now in the category of “desperate media whore” slut. I don’t know what type of work she wants to do in a future, but maybe she should start hanging out with Priya Rai instead of Quentin Tarantino. She's got three movies coming out: Hiss, Fauj Mein Mauj,and Unveiled(where she beat out Shilpa Shetty and Aishwarya Rai). She's gotten my hopes up for a future nude scene.


Hell, gotta give her credit! She is in shape!

Yum Freida Pinto in a Short SKIRT.. oh and look there is Dev Patel

Nothing like Freida Pinto pics to get us started back on the right foot..Even though she comes off as a superficial bitch, man does she look good in a skirt. Nice stems lady!! Dev, well, he seems like nice well-balanced guy. To me, this relationship is just for show, and so far very successfull at milking the Slum Dog success. They both are currently filming movies.. Dev Patel is featured in a movie called the Last Airbender, and she is stackin em up. Freida will be featured in a film called Miral with William Dafoe(the Legend himself), an untitled Woody Allen movie, and American Empire with Jeremy Piven. So they deservedly will both be working, now whether or not they sustain success is not going to be due to prolonging a fabricated relationship. But hey, I'm rooting for both of them.

Profesor Modi campaigning for Barack Obama

So what’s been up with our boy Kal Penn lately??? Well, he finished teaching a course at University of Pennsylvania called “Images of Asian Americans in the Media”. By the way, according to Wikipedia, Professor Modi which he required his students to call him was a bit of an anal professor. At least he finds ways to get respect. His movie roles have been laughable at best. Don’t get me wrong Harold and Kumar 1 and 2 were funny, but The Rise of Taj and his minor role in Epic Movie is pushing it a little too far. It’s starting to get repetitive. His best movie had to be Mira Nair’s the Namesake, and I doubt many non-Indians even saw it. Unfortunately, his next movie looks to follow the trend of his previous roles. It’s called Under New Management, and Kal plays an employee who sends his boss on a sex cruise, and follows it up by turning the office into party central. Hmm..let’s hope Kal starts getting some “more diverse” roles. Hey even an action movie would be a start,and he would be forced to get into shape. He should pick up some Independent roles, to change the perception of Hollywood; otherwise his career may very well soon enter oblivion.

Well aside from his illustrious movie career, Penn is campaining for Barack Obama. So far he’s been all over Virginia, rousing up crowds everywhere. Scarlett Johanson even quoted him as one of Obama’s Hollywood “heavy hitters”. He can definitely attract young voters, especially minority voters..so it’s not a bad deal for Barack at all. And I respect Penn’s passion, and hopefully it garners more positive attention, and consideration for serious movie roles.

Deepika Padukone is Heating up!

Deepika Padukone, the beautiful 5'9" model turned actress was featured on the front cover of Maxim India for August 2008. Heralded by some in the States as the Indian Michelle Pfeiffer, Deepika has been in only two movies, Om Shanti Om, and Bachna Ae Haseeno, but her sultry persona has garnered the attention of the masses! She just completed the film "Chandni Chowk to China" and is currently filming "Billo Barber". Watch out for this rising star, who may one day reach international stardom.

Honestly, I find her more stunning than Priyanka Chopra or Aishwarya Rai. Her gazelle like body, and natural beauty provide Bollywood with an endearing fresh face for the future.
